Project Description
Summary.
Pendle Leisure Trust is the leading provider of community leisure facilities and active opportunities in East Lancashire.
They manage 4 gyms, 3 swimming pools, 2 theatres, a running track and a spa.
The Project.
The aim of the project was to deliver a fully responsive website incorporating all the PLT services. It was a challenge for me and the developer to come up with a design which can fulfil PLT’s needs.
Key services which required extra focus were:
- Fitness Membership
- Fitness Classes
- Swimming
- Kids Activities
The Story.
While working at Pendle Leisure our MD project managed the task of developing the PLT website.
After going through several design options, we came up with a coloured coordinatored theme, where each service area will have its own unique colour making it user friendly.
We focused on core services like membership and fitness and gave these services prominence on both the home page and on the main menu.
After a lot of dedication, hard work and meetings with the developers we successfully delivered and launched this fantastic project.

Development.
The platform has been built with an open source CMS (Blueberry) to allow the PLT team manage and publish their required contents.
The website was developed by Edward Robertson, Darlington.
